- Successfully brought to the Solana Beach City Council a unanimously adopted resolution asking the Federal Government to establish G-major as the official key when audiences are asked to sing the "Star Spangled Banner," 2004
- Successfully brought to the Solana Beach City Council a unanimously accepted statute declaring "Solana Beach, Our City Proud" ( co-written with Lynn Salsberg, R.N.), the Official City Song, 2006

My passion for independent travel has taken me to over 80 countries including: Ghana, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, India, China, Russia, Haiti, Brazil, Morocco, Bali, Burma, Benin, Togo, South Africa, nearly all of Europe, Korea, Guatemala, the Caribbean, Turkey, Egypt, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and throughout the United States
